The Pearl Harbor Educational Center

Next to the ticket counters in the Courtyard of the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is a building with three offices; this is Pearl Harbor’s education building, which consists of:

  • A sizeable outdoor lanai for hosting special events and student group orientations.
  • A conference room for training and large National Park Service meetings.
  • A teleconference room for educating students about Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.
  • An office for the Pearl Harbor Historian.

Although there is no fence between the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park, the boundary begins right after the Educational Center’s offices.

The Pearl Harbor Educational center is used for special events and classes. These classes can cover a variety of WWII-related topics with a focus on Pearl Harbor and the Pacific War.
