Our professional, chauffeur will take you to Pearl Harbor. Once you have arrived at the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center, our chauffeur will take you inside and give you a professional and personal orientation and provide you with the tickets for your tour. Here Are Some Points Of Interest That You Will See On Your Tour:

Tree of Life

The tree of life is a sculpture in Pearl Harbor located at the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center just outside of the “Road to War exhibit gallery.” The sculpture was designed by Alfred Preis, who also designed the USS Arizona Memorial Monument. The sculpture is meant to be a symbol of renewal and inspire contemplation. While you are at Pearl Harbor, be sure to check out this unique work of art. Don’t forget to also visit the exhibit galleries “Road to War” and “Attack.”

Tree-of-Life

Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz

Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz was the Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleet during WWII. He succeeded Admiral Husband E. Kimmel after the attack on Pearl Harbor. With Admiral Nimitz in command, the US Navy ultimately gained victory over the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Pacific War. Fleet Admiral Nimitz helped to devise the Island hopping campaign against the Japanese. This campaign took the fleet through Japanese-held territory, attacking and capturing only the most strategically important one and bypassing the rest.

King Kamehameha

The son of a chief on the Island of Hawaii, he would aspire to great things. Through various military campaigns, he would come to conquer every Hawaiian Island except Kauai. This Island would become part of the Kingdom through diplomacy. King Kamehameha utilized European weapons in his conquest of the Islands and established trade with Europeans who came to the Islands. In addition, he enacted a set of uniform laws and taxation system throughout the Kingdom. King Kamehameha passed away in 1819. In line with ancient Hawaiian customs, his burial place is unknown.

Surfing

The sport we know as surfing has its origins in ancient Hawaii. For the ancient Hawaiians, this was more than just a sport and had spiritual connections. The most skilled surfers tended to be the chiefs. Europeans were first introduced to surfing when Captain Cook arrived in the Islands. Today surfing is a sport beloved by people the world over. While there are many popular surfing spots worldwide, the most famous are in Hawaii. The North Shore of Oahu is a mecca for surfers everywhere who come for the chance to ride the waves at places like Sunset Beach or the famous “Banzai Pipeline.” Several surfing competitions are held on Oahu’s North Shore annually.
