Tour Description
Many people dream of coming to Hawaii. However, you have a limited time to spend on your Hawaii dream vacation. Your vacation time is important; why waste it? If you value your time and want a quick tour where you can visit some memorable places, we have an excellent tour for you. Our Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and East Oahu Mini Island Tour is perfect for those who want to cover a good portion of Oahu in less time. Skip the hassle of a bus tour with 20-60 people. Our private tour offers a solution for you. Instead of a group tour in a bus with around 20-60 people, why not ride to Pearl Harbor and then go on the East Oahu Mini Island tour in a clean, comfortable, air-conditioned minivan that will privately take you on tour? Our professional chauffeur will take you to Pearl Harbor. Once you have arrived at the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center, our chauffeur will take you inside and give you an orientation.
You will be taken to the Visitor’s Center at Pearl Harbor and see the two museums detailing the cause of the attack as well as details on the attack itself. You will have the opportunity to stroll through Bowfin Park and view outdoor exhibits such as a Japanese Kaiten suicide torpedo. Then, you will be taken on a drive-through tour of the historical Downtown of Honolulu. You get to see the famous golden statue of Hawaii’s legendary monarch, King Kamehameha the Great, the first King of Hawaii. View the famous Iolani Palace, the only Royal Palace on American soil. See Washington Place, the historic home of Hawaii’s Governors. View the unique architecture of the Hawaii State Capitol. We will also take you on a drive-through of Punchbowl Cemetery, the final resting place of many U.S. service members from WWI to the present. Then we will drive through Kahala, the most expensive neighborhood in the world, known as the “Beverly Hills of Hawaii”. Next, we will take you on a tour of East Oahu, including the Scenic Vistas of Oahu’s rugged East Coast. You will see the scenic lookout point known as the “blow hole”, a natural rock formation that spouts water through wave action. Take the view at Makapuu Point, at the eastern tip of the Island of Oahu. Then we will take you past the beautiful beaches of Waimanalo and through the beautiful green mountains of the Nuuanu Pali before returning you to your hotel.

Here Are Some Points Of Interest That You Will See On Your Tour:
Lone Sailor
The statue known as “the Lone Sailor” is a tribute to all personnel in the sea services past, present, and future. This statue was sculpted by Stanley Bleifeld using a real sailor, PO1 Dan Maloney as the model. The initials and last name on the sea bag belong to Rear Admiral William Thompson, the first president of the Navy Memorial Foundation. The foundation raised funds for the creation of the Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C. The bronze used for the original sculpture is said to have had several historical artifacts added to it during the smelting process.
Submarine Memorial Circle
Right on the water near the USS Bowfin is the Submarine Memorial Circle. The circle is comprised of 52 stone, and metal memorial plaques, one for each of the 52 US Navy submarines lost in WWII. Detailed on each plaque are the name of the submarine, the cause of her loss, if known, and a list of the sailors who were lost with their boat. It is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by those who served in the “Silent Service” during the war. From the memorial, you can also get a good picture of the side of the USS Bowfin Submarine.
Pearl Harbor Bookstore
Don’t forget to check out the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center Bookstore. The bookstore is operated by the nonprofit Pacific Historic Parks. In addition to history books and reference materials, the bookstore offers a wide array of souvenirs and keepsakes. A portion of the proceeds goes toward funding the Pearl Harbor National Memorial. One unique gift option that the bookstore offers are the USS Arizona Memorial flags. These are flags flown over the Arizona Memorial. Each day the flag over the Arizona Memorial is raised and lowered. Each day a new flag is flown. A flag may be ordered that is to be flown on a specific date. Once the flag is lowered, it is folded in the traditional fashion, packed together with a certificate and personalized message, and shipped to the buyer. There are date restrictions such as flags flown on December 7, the Fourth of July, or Memorial Day and on days that Pearl Harbor National Memorial is closed.
Washington Place
Washington Place was the residence of the Governor of the State of Hawaii from 1921 until it was named a National Historic Landmark in 2007. The Governor’s Mansion currently resides in a separate house on the same property. The residence was built in the 1840s and was the home of the Dominis family. John Owen Dominis would eventually marry the future Queen of Hawaii, Liliuokalani. Upon the death of John Dominis, the house would pass to the Queen. Washington Place was the main site of the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii and the location where the Queen was arrested at its conclusion. She resided in the house until her death in 1917.
