Tour Description
Imagine, you are now on your dream vacation in Hawaii. How will you spend your time? Just sitting in your hotel room or wasting your vacation away on the beach is not for you. You came to Oahu to see all there is to see, Maybe a bit of history? Or something more adventurous? You can do both with the Arizona Memorial and Oahu North Shore Horseback Riding and North Shore ATV Tour. If you are staying in Waikiki, flying to Oahu from another Island for the day, or arriving on one of the many cruise ships that visit Honolulu, this is one tour you will surely want to take. You get to see the Arizona Memorial with the included ticket. (Please see our notice regarding Arizona Memorial tickets.) With the tickets included, there is no need to deal with having to reserve the Arizona Memorial tickets in advance, and then having to rent a car or figure out which city bus to take to even get to Pearl Harbor. We will pick you up in a clean minivan with a professional driver/guide who is fluent in English. Once at Pearl Harbor, you will receive a professional orientation from your driver. The Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center is home to two museums, “Road to War ” and “Attack.” These museums will provide you with the background information through many artifacts regarding the events that led to the attack on Pearl Harbor, as well as details about the attack itself. You will get to see the short 23-minute film about the attack on Pearl Harbor featuring film footage taken during the attack. Take the U.S. Navy shuttle to the Arizona Memorial Monument, which is the resting place for 1,177 American Sailors and Marines who died during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Once you are done with the Arizona Memorial it will be time to move on to horseback riding and your ATV tour.
We will head to Oahu’s North Shore where the horseback tour and ATV tour will take place. With the help of a professional guide, you will get to ride on a horse. The tour will take you past open farmland and down a scenic North Shore ocean-view riding trail with breathtaking views of the coastline. it is quite a thing to take in the view from the back of a horse, much like the Paniolo or the Hawaiian Cowboys would have done in times past. For a bit more excitement, take an adventurous ride down a scenic North Shore trail while riding an ATV. Make your way through farmlands, and take in the spectacular views of mountains and ocean alike from a peninsula. On the way back to your drop-off location, you will be taken on a short drive-through tour of Downtown Honolulu. You get to see the famous golden statue of the first true ruler of Hawaii, King Kamehameha the Great. View the famous Iolani Palace, the only Royal Palace on American soil. See Washington Place, the historic home of Hawaii’s Governors and the former home of Hawaii’s last Queen, Queen Liliuokalani. View the unique architecture of the Hawaii State Capitol building. We will also take you on a drive-through of Punchbowl Cemetery, the well-known final resting place of many U.S. service members from WWI to the present.

Here Are some Points Of Interest That You Will See On Your Tour:
Arizona Memorial Boat Ride
Once you leave the theater, you will be directed down a ramp to get to the boat dock. The only way to get to the Arizona Memorial Monument is by boat. Two shuttle boats rotate between the Visitor’s Center and Arizona Memorial every 15 minutes. While the National Park Service manages the Visitor’s Center and Arizona Memorial, the US Navy operates the shuttle boats. Every day, the Navy supplies the boats and sailors that shuttle the visitors to and from the USS Arizona Memorial.
Sadako Crane
You will find a display at Pearl Harbor that houses a tiny folded paper crane. This crane was folded by a Japanese girl named Sadako Sasaki. She survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. While she survived the explosion, ten years after the bomb, she developed leukemia. While in the hospital, she began folding 1,000 paper cranes believing that doing so would grant her a wish. She managed to fold 1,400 before succumbing to leukemia at the age of twelve. Her crane folding caught the attention of many people, and Sadako became a symbol of people affected by the atomic bomb and the hope for world peace. The crane at Pearl Harbor was donated by her family as a symbol of peace.
King Kamehameha
The son of a chief on the Island of Hawaii, he would aspire to great things. Through various military campaigns, he would come to conquer every Hawaiian Island except Kauai. This Island would become part of the Kingdom through diplomacy. King Kamehameha utilized European weapons in his conquest of the Islands and established trade with Europeans who came to the Islands. In addition, he enacted a set of uniform laws and taxation system throughout the Kingdom. King Kamehameha passed away in 1819. In line with ancient Hawaiian customs, his burial place is unknown.
Kawaiahao Church
Built in 1843, Kawaiahao church is one of the oldest Christian Churches in Hawaii. The church was designed by the leader of the Christian Mission to Hawaii, Hiram Bingham. Funding was secured through the Hawaiian Royal Family who were among the first to convert to Christianity. The Christian mission to Hawaii was main driving force in putting the Hawaiian Language in writing with many of the passages of the Bible being translated into Hawaiian. A full translation of the Bible is available today. The church is still active to this day and is administered by the United Church of Christ. In a tradition going back to the founding of the church, part of the sermon is delivered in the Hawaiian language.
