Tour Description
While enjoying your dream Hawaii vacation on Kauai, why not take the time to make your Hawaiian Vacation a truly unforgettable one? Take the ultimate Kauai to Pearl Harbor tour. The Pearl Harbor National Memorial is the number one tourist attraction in Hawaii. Board a plane for a quick hop over from Kauai to Oahu with the included round-trip airline tickets. This tour is a small group, unlike other bus tours with 50-60 people; you will be picked up at the Honolulu International airport (HNL) as part of a small group just 14 people. You do not need to wait in line behind thousands of other people to see if you can get a ticket for the Arizona Memorial Monument. We have reserved a ticket for the Arizona Memorial for you in advance. This Arizona Memorial ticket is included for you in this tour ( please read our disclaimer about the USS Arizona Memorial ticket ).
For this reason, you do not need to worry about your Arizona Memorial tickets. We will also provide you with a bottle of water when you arrive at Pearl Harbor. This is a full-day tour ( about 10- 12 hours, including your flight time ). This full-day Pearl Harbor Tour operates from the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.
This tour is the most extended and complete Pearl Harbor tour and includes all of the Pearl Harbor tickets. This tour takes you from the Honolulu International Airport to the historic location of Pearl Harbor National Memorial, the most visited attraction in Hawaii. This tour is the perfect choice for those who want to fly over from Kauai to Pearl Harbor on Oahu in order to spend the day taking in all of the publicly available Pearl Harbor museums. You will be taken to the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center and get to walk through the two museums, “Road to War” and “Attack,” detailing the cause of the attack as well as providing details on the attack itself. In the air-conditioned theater, view the 23-minute film on the attack featuring footage taken during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Take the Navy shuttle boat to the USS Arizona Memorial to view the wreck and reflect on the lives lost that day. You will also see the fuel slowly leaking up from the batleship Arizona, known as the “black tears” of the USS Arizona. You will also receive tickets to see the submarine USS Bowfin, a highly decorated submarine that served in WWII. She is known as the “Pearl Harbor Avenger.” Head below decks on this Balao-class submarine to see the conditions for the officers and men who served aboard her. Take a stroll through the submarine museum to learn about the pivotal role that submarines played in the defeat of Imperial Japan in WWII and the role that submarines continue to play today. Take the shuttle bus to Ford Island, part of the active military base, to see the battleship USS Missouri, known as the “Mighty MO.” Walk the deck of one of the most powerful ships ever built, gaze in awe at her massive 16-inch guns, and see the location where the Japanese signed the instruments of surrender at the end of the war. Visit the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, America’s only aerial battlefield. The largest aviation museum in Hawaii, the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, has various aircraft on display from WWII up to today. Including some of the most important aircraft to take part in the Pacific War, such as the Grumman F4F “Wildcat” fighter, Douglas SBD “Dauntless” dive bomber, the infamous Mitsubishi A6M2 “Zero” fighter, and the Nakajima B5N “Kate” torpedo bomber. See the battle damage still left on the hangar from the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941. To end your day on Oahu, on the way back to the airport, you will be taken on a short drive-through tour of Downtown of Honolulu. You get to see the famous golden statue of Hawaii’s legendary monarch, King Kamehameha the Great, who united the Hawaiian Islands, founding the Kingdom of Hawaii. View the famous Iolani Palace as seen on the popular T.V. show Hawaii Five-O, the only Royal Palace on American soil. See the historic Washington Place, the historic home of Hawaii’s Governors. View the unique architecture of the Hawaii State Capitol building. We will also take you on a drive-through of Punchbowl Cemetery, the “Arlington of the Pacific,” the final resting place of many U.S. service members from WWI to the present.

Here are some points of Interest that you will see on your tour
Submarine Memorial Circle
Right on the water near the USS Bowfin is the Submarine Memorial Circle. The circle is comprised of 52 stone, and metal memorial plaques, one for each of the 52 US Navy submarines lost in WWII. Detailed on each plaque are the name of the submarine, the cause of her loss, if known, and a list of the sailors who were lost with their boat. It is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by those who served in the “Silent Service” during the war. From the memorial, you can also get a good picture of the side of the USS Bowfin.
Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz
Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz was the Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleet during WWII. He succeeded Admiral Husband E. Kimmel after the attack on Pearl Harbor. With Admiral Nimitz in command, the US Navy ultimately gained victory over the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Pacific War. Fleet Admiral Nimitz helped to devise the Island hopping campaign against the Japanese. This campaign took the fleet through Japanese-held territory, attacking and capturing only the most strategically important Islands and bypassing the rest.
USS Oklahoma
The USS Oklahoma (BB-37) was a Nevada-Class battleship commissioned on May 2, 1916. She was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. During the Japanese attack, she received up to 8 torpedo hits. She capsized, almost rolling completely over. This trapped many of her crew who were below decks underwater. A desperate rescue operation was launched to save as many of her crew as possible. In all, 429 officers and enlisted men out of a crew of 1,398 died in the attack. Her losses comprise the second-largest loss of life in the attack after the 1,177 that were killed when the USS Arizona battleship exploded.
Ford Island Control Tower
One of the most famous landmarks on Ford Island is the control tower. Formally called Administrative building S84. The building was to serve as the administrative center of the Ford Island airstrip, housing administrative facilities, meteorological facilities, and serve as an air traffic control tower. By the time of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the building was not yet complete. However, the building was active as an air traffic control tower during the battle and was attacked by Japanese aircraft. Today, the tower was leased from the US Navy by the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum, and restoration work is being done on the building.
